For drivers who earned their CDL in an automatic-transmission CMV and later want to qualify to operate a manual-transmission CMV.

10-Hour Manual Training Package

$1,250 per driver
  • Clutch control and proper starting/stopping
  • Gear selection, upshifting and downshifting
  • Double-clutching/non-synchronized transmission technique as applicable to the vehicle
  • Grades, turns, traffic operation and recovery from missed shifts
  • Manual-transmission pre-trip and control review
  • Preparation for the applicable state testing required to remove the E restriction

Customer supplies a compliant manual-transmission CMV and meets all state testing and credential requirements. HazardCue training does not itself remove the restriction; the licensing agency removes it after the driver completes the applicable state process.

Before BTW begins: HazardCue will confirm the training schedule, approved location, commercial vehicle, registration/insurance, and required driver credentials. A valid CLP is required before applicable behind-the-wheel driving begins.
